Biography

Tod James is an American actor whose commanding physical presence, distinctive voice, and real-world experience have shaped a natural transition to film and television.

At 6’3", with his recognizable long salt-and-pepper hair and beard, he has developed a distinctive character-actor profile suited to authoritative, formidable, and unconventional roles. His casting centers on intimidating or larger-than-life characters.

Before pursuing acting professionally, he spent more than three decades as a paramedic, EMT and LA Fire Captain.

Tod has continued building his television and commercial résumé, most recently booking a role in the Netflix series "A Hundred Percent" and a major Kaiser Permanente commercial.
