Biography

Abdallah Dannaoui

Mini bio

  • Hailing from Tripoli, Lebanon, Abdallah Dannaoui began his cinematic journey in Lebanon and the United Kingdom, where he honed his skills and nurtured his passion for filmmaking for the past 5 years. His latest documentary short, Bitter Greens, Tangled Roots (2024/5), was shortlisted and a semi-finalist at Rhode Island's International Film Festival and Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, and won the award for Best 'Made in Wales' Short at the WOW Film Festival. Additionally, it was part of the Cannes Film Festival’s Cinema du Demain, where it was screened at the Short Film Corner. This recognition led him to secure a major international distribution deal with Wind Cinema and a streaming deal with Sasha Movies and Aflamuna Online, enabling his film to be shown both online and in cinemas across Europe, Southwest Asia, North Africa, and the UK. Alongside working in publicity on major feature film productions, Abdallah is developing his first feature, Blood Moon over Olives, to be shot and co-produced across Lebanon, Greece, and the United Kingdom.
