Yanina May is a New York-based photographer and visual artist with over 20 years of experience who loves creating, collaborating, and being in nature. She works with small and large brands and businesses, as well as with solo or small teams of creatives, to bring big ideas to life.
Her photography has been featured in publications like Vogue Brazil, The Fader, and 1814 Magazine. In 2023, she worked as one of the producers and second camera on the short film She Was, She Is, She Never Will Be with director, writer, and actress Sonya LaTorre. In 2024, she was co-director, writer, and cinematographer on a short film called The Opposites, which received a Silver Remy Award at the 57th Annual WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. In 2025, she worked as director and cinematographer on Short Thin Lines with actress and writer Martha Millan.
This year, Yanina is working on multiple photo series centered around Costa Rica, animals, nature and the combination of hobbies and fine art photography, while also connecting and creating with new clients such as Nordic on Nine, Whistlepunk Roasters, and WildSpire Minis. Alongside her photography, she continues to slowly but diligently grow StarSeeds Create, a supportive and inclusive space in the US and Costa Rica where neurodivergent people and artists can connect, share their work, learn about mental health and physical wellness, and build a safe and welcoming community.
Yanina is deeply grateful for all of the creative projects she has been a part of throughout her career and for being able to live a life of collaboration and creativity. She looks forward to what the future holds, both professionally and personally.
