Biography

Jenni Samuelson holds a diverse repertoire that spans opera, musical theater, jazz, and contemporary popular music. She has performed over 25 lead roles with esteemed opera and theater companies across the country, including the San Francisco Opera Center, Western Opera Theater, Eugene Opera, Opera San Jose, Chicago Light Opera Works, Center Repertory Theatre, and The Skylight Theatre in Milwaukee.

In 2011, Jenni recorded the world premiere of Return Receipts, a collection of storytelling lullabies by Amanda McTigue and Jeff Langley.

A graduate of Northwestern University with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance, Jenni is a faculty member in the Global Arts Studies Program at the University of California, Merced.

While her extensive directorial work has primarily focused on stage productions, Subsequent To represents her debut in film. She is excited to bring her unique vision to this important project and explore new dimensions of storytelling on screen.
