Production Designer - IA Local 800 Art Directors Guild
As a Production Designer and Art Director with over 20 years of experience, I deliver large-scale entertainment, experiential marketing, and advertising campaigns for global brands. By unifying production design, creative strategy, and operational leadership, I execute visually ambitious worlds across film, television, and branded content. I operate not just as a narrative artist, but as a conceptual technician, aesthetic engineer, and visual compass; a multidisciplinary filmmaker who bridges creative vision with practical execution. My process integrates rigorous research, physical development, and comprehensive digital "pre-visualization" to craft distinctive environments and spatial experiences for every genre, period, and aesthetic.
Throughout my career, I have designed high-impact projects spanning feature films, episodic television, national commercial campaigns, and brand "activations". This success stems from a collaborative philosophy that aligns Directors, Cinematographers, Producers, and corporate clients around a unified visual goal. Bringing strategic logistical foresight to every project, I frequently serve as the "de-facto" line producer for the Art Department, seamlessly balancing ambitious world-building with strict budget and schedule realities.
Selected Career Highlights:
"Pas Vraiment Ordinaire" (Short Film) - 2025 - Served as Associate Producer and Production Designer on the award-winning proof-of-concept short film for Writer/Director Gil Henry (Disney / FOX Australia). The project earned selections at numerous international film festivals, including the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival.
Turo x Uber x Rivian: "Hot Summer" (Bicoastal Brand Activation) - 2025 - Partnered with independent creative agency Kamp Grizzly as Production Designer for a large-scale, multi-city campaign spanning Los Angeles and Miami. Led environmental design, logistical planning, and custom vehicle modifications to deliver an immersive, highly publicized rent-able "pool truck" activation. Managed design execution across simultaneous activation involving multiple production teams, custom fabrication partners, and nationally recognized media coverage.
"VA Medical Breakthroughs" + "Never Alone" (Scripted Episodic Docu-Series + Short Films) - 2022 - Acted as Associate Producer and Production Designer for the Department of Veterans Affairs, on a scripted historic series chronicling military medical innovations from the 1940s through the 1990s, alongside designing a series of scripted short films centered on veterans' mental health initiatives and suicide prevention.
"The Last Victim" (Feature Film) - 2020 - Collaborated with director Naveen Chathapuram in British Columbia, serving as the Supervising Production Design Consultant during the visual development phase of the Neo-Western feature film distributed by Decal Releasing and starring Ali Larter, Ron Perlman, and Ralph Ineson.
Bose + NFL: "Inspired" Campaign - 2017 - Designed the visual environments for a series of high-profile integrated and national broadcast commercial campaigns produced by The Sweetshop, which subsequently earned shortlists for the prestigious Clio Advertising Awards in 2018.
Samsung x Rihanna: "ANTI-diaRy" (Interactive Commercial Campaign) - 2015 - Contributed to the extensive spatial design, art direction, and physical environment builds for the multi-million dollar, cross-platform global launch campaign produced by Iconoclast and directed by Yoann Lemoine. The highly stylized, interactive project partnered with agency 72andSunny and immersive theater company Punchdrunk, ultimately earning a Bronze Cannes Lion.
"Dark Skies" (Feature Film) - 2012 - Served in a dual leadership capacity as the Art Director for the Los Angeles unit and the Production Designer for the New York unit on the Blumhouse psychological thriller directed by Scott Stewart, produced by Jason Blum, and starring Keri Russell and J.K. Simmons.
