Biography

Phil Johnston was born on October 26, 1971 in Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA. He is a writer and producer, known for Zootopia (2016), Wreck-It Ralph (2012) and Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018). He has been married to Jill Cordes since October 7, 2000. They have two children.

One of Variety's 10 Screenwriters To Watch, 2009.

He worked as a voice actor for Disney. He provided the voice of Surge Protector in Wreck-It Ralph (2012) and Gideon Grey in Zootopia (2016).

His wife, Jill Cordes, was the caterer for his movie, A Thousand Words (2004), and is also a host for The Best of (2001) on the Food Network.

Attended Columbia University with "Frozen" writer/director Jennifer Lee.

Graduated from Columbia University with a MFA.
