- Vijay Patil was born in 1942. He was a composer, known for Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994) and Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999). He died on May 22, 2021 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.
- He is the "Laxman" of duo composers "Raam-Laxman". "Raam" passed away right after signing for Agent Vinod (1977) in 1976. Vijay Patil however continued with the name, as he had great success in '90s with Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), changed the spelling to "Raamlaxman".
