Biography

Simon William Jones is an Australian actor, filmmaker, and creative producer based in Adelaide, South Australia.

He began acting at the age of 11, undertaking performance training through Actors Ink. After taking time away from performance to pursue other interests, Simon studied Business and Law at the University of South Australia before returning to acting at 23 and reigniting his passion for screen storytelling.

Simon later graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Film and Television), expanding his work into filmmaking, directing, and creative production. He is the founder of Team Darkstar, where he develops and produces independent film and media projects collaboratively with other filmmakers.

In 2026, Simon was selected to participate in the Helpmann Academy Creative Innovator Program, supporting the continued development of his creative practice and screen industry career. He is represented by Actors Ink and continues professional actor training with Adelaide Artist Management.
