Cheryl Hickman is the Founder, General and Artistic Director of Opera on the Avalon (OOTA), where she produces and directs award-winning new works and reimagined classics for stage and screen. A driving force in contemporary opera and film, she also leads Pink Peony Productions, developing projects that bridge music, storytelling, and visual art. A former international soprano, Hickman now brings her performance insight to her work as a producer and artistic director. She also serves as Chair of the Canada Council for the Arts.
