  • Ivan Panov is a Soviet documentary camera operator, front-line cameraman during the Great Patriotic War.

    In 1932-1935 - assistant camera operator and actor at the Moscow film factory 'Rosfilm'/Moskinokombinat. In 1935 Panov graduated from the camera department of the State Institute of Cinematography. He worked as an assistant cameraman at the Moskinokombinat/Mosfilm film studio on the films Men on Wings (1935), Anna (1936), Volga - Volga (1938), Minin i Pozharskiy (1939), General Suvorov (1941), Mashenka (1942).

    Frontline cameraman. Since 1942, Panov filmed on the Kalinin, 1st Baltic, 3rd Belorussian and 1st Belorussian fronts. He was wounded twice, near Rzhev in 1942 and near Vitebsk in 1944.

    After the war (1945-1957) - at the Mosfilm film studio. In 1954-1956 - on a foreign business trip through Sovexportfilm. From 1957 to 1971 - cameraman at the Central Studio of Documentary Films (CSDF). In 1960-1964, Panov worked in Italy as a representative of Sovexportfilm.
