Biography

Ivanna Sanina is a director and screenwriter. She began her career working on major feature films, serving as an assistant and second-unit director on Oles Sanin's historical epic Dovbush (2023), Anna (2019), and the Polish production film Ludzie (2024).

As a director, her short films The Sixth Commandment (2016) and Girl on the Ball (2018) won awards at the Open Night and Bukovina film festivals. She is the founder of the student film club Kryla and the multidisciplinary project DUMA, and she frequently collaborates with global initiatives like Culture vs War and the Association of Cinema Promotion and Assistance to amplify stories of artistic resilience.
