Julie Rogers was born on April 6, 1938 in Bermondsey, London, England, UK. She was previously married to Michael Black and Teddy Foster.

She was married to her manager, Michael Black, the brother of lyricist Don Black. In the 80s she recorded a version of 'Born Free', a song the latter co-wrote with John Barry.

British singer whose most famous hit was "The Wedding". She also recorded the original theme song written for the James Bond film, You Only Live Twice (1967), before John Barry and Leslie Bricusse wrote a completely different song for Nancy Sinatra. The reason given was that the producers wanted a big-name singer, though it has also been claimed that Albert R. Broccoli owed Frank Sinatra a favour.
