Biography

Wayne Moss was born on February 9, 1939 in South Charleston, West Virginia, USA. He was married to Dee Moeller. He died on April 20, 2026 in Madison, Tennessee, USA.

One of the founders of Area Code 615 and Barefoot Jerry, both bands made up of Nashville session players.

In 1961 he founded Cinderella Sound recording studio. In 2011 it was Nashville's oldest surviving independent studio.

Guitar player & bassist session musician who worked with Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, Joan Baez, Steve Miller Band, Linda Ronstadt, Tommy Roe ("Sheila"), Bob Dylan ("Blonde On Blonde" album}, Roy Orbison ("Pretty Woman"), Dolly Parton ("Jolene"), Charlie Daniels, Fats Domino, Everly Brothers, Lefty Frizzell, Leo Kottke, Kris Kristofferson, Mike Nesmith, Carl Perkins, Nancy Sinatra, Brenda Lee, Jackie DeShannon, Grand Funk Railroad, James Gang and Tracy Nelson, among others.
