Huiju Park is a London and Seoul based documentary filmmaker whose work explores the intersection of personal experience and societal issues, often focusing on feminism, human rights, and social topics in East Asia. Her films reflect a deep connection to the world around her. After years of making personal documentaries that tackled cancer, sexual trauma, and domestic violence, Huiju started expanding her lens outward, drawing from her own resilience to highlight new voices and perspectives. Her recent work, Bitter Cells (2024), received Korean Competition Jury Special Mention at DMZ International Documentary Film Festival, marking her growing impact on global audiences.
