- Stuart Prebble was born on April 15, 1951. He was a producer and editor, known for Grumpy Old Men (2003), World in Action (1963) and Open Eye (1990). He was married to Samantha Richards, Marilyn Anne Charlton and Barbara Gifford. He died on August 21, 2025.

- After leaving university he was producer and editor of the World In Action current affairs series and went on to be Head of Factual Programmes at Granada TV and Controller of Factual Programmes for the ITV network.
