Harold Shawn is a film composer, music producer, and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. He holds a Master of Music in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music. While studying Music Industry at Northeastern University, he established himself in the Boston music scene, collaborating with vocalists from Berklee and achieving radio airplay. After graduating in 2012, Harold transitioned into composing for advertising, including notable work with the Boston Red Sox. His compositions for the team received critical recognition, including a New England Emmy Award nomination. Harold later expanded into narrative film, scoring projects including Faces, Don’t Look in the Den, Next, Blight, Where We Fit, and Layers. In 2026, he began composing the score for an upcoming feature documentary about acclaimed author Jamaica Kincaid. He continues to work across film and visual media, bringing stories to life through an imaginative, thoughtful, and emotionally driven approach to composition.
