Born in Delhi, India, Kumar moved to Melbourne Australia and embraced an entrepreneurial spirit which began in India after he graduated from the University of Delhi.
Kumar encountered many people from the film industry from and began networking with them, having always been interested in film, and this began his passion for the world of cinema, which culminated in his creating his own production company, Creative Productive Studio, with a short film shot and several projects in development, including a series and a feature film. This passion for film and cinema is what ultimately led Kumar to creating the International Film Festival of Australia. Born from the challenges he faced in his own career in film, IFFA represents Kumar's ideals for removing barriers of diversity within the film world, bringing all communities to one stage, and providing an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to showcase and celebrate their work.
His latest short film, Rangdari, created through his production company, Creative Production Studio, is being hosted on the prestigious and well-known Pocket Films, and he has many other projects lined up for the future.
