A self-described "recovering independent film producer," Erin Ferdinand has worked day jobs and side hustles in almost every aspect of the entertainment industry.
Before co-founding No Coast Films in 2000, Erin was Office Assistant on the Sundance feature "Next Stop Wonderland." From 1997-1998, she served as Development Intern, reporting to Julie Durk and Kevin Feige at Donner Shuler Donner (aka The Donners' Company). She also worked at the Steve Tisch Co., assisting Creative Executive Judd Payne with the development of the "Untitled David Weinlick Project," the true story of a Minnesota man whose friends and family chose his bride-to-be from a pool of 300 Internet applicants.
Erin rediscovered her passion for acting and comedy after moving to New York in 2001, where she studied for stage and camera with Kelly Kimball, Robert X. Modica, Louise Lasser and Marc Blum. She also studied sketch writing with Curtis Gwinn at UCB, TV writing with Jim Mendrinos and Solo Show Writing and Performance with Gretchen Cryer.
In 2009, she appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" as the unfortunate recipient of "A Round of Drinks" in the debut sketch, "At the Bar with Roger Federer". She's also appeared on screen opposite comedians Kevin Nealon, Jeffrey Ross and Chuck Nice.
In 2012, Erin moved to Savannah, GA working as a Psychic Medium at the Old Sorrel-Weed, a haunted mansion featured on the 2005 Halloween episode of "Ghost Hunters." There she combined her cinematic and mediumship passions, helping people connect with their loved ones who've passed and capturing ghosts on film: https://bit.ly/2ZMBp7h.
From 2015-2016 Erin wrote "The Ghost Dog Diaries", a Connect Savannah advice column based on her supernatural experiences.
In 2020, she studied briefly with Margot Leitman and Ari Voukydis while developing "The Psychic Superhero Show", a solo performance piece intended for UCB Los Angeles' Inner Sanctum Stage. She looks forward to the show's eventual debut. In the meantime, she's keeping busy in quarantine developing podcast versions of "The Ghost Dog Diaries" and "The Psychic Superhero Show."
