Biography

Lamont Coleman is an American award-winning music producer/composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and actor. He has collaborated with artists such as Wyclef Jean, Akon, Lil Wayne, T.I., Shakira, Aventura, Eve, and Jim Jones. His production on Sweetest Girl/Dollar Bill (2008) earned a BMI Pop Music Award in 2009, and his music was featured in Transporter 3 (2008). He co-produced Why Can't We Live Together (2016) with Paul Shaffer featuring Darius Rucker and has composed for Disney projects including Coop & Cami Ask the World (2018), Mickey and Spidey Jump Into Wow (2021), and RoboGobo (2025).

In 2024, Lamont won Best Score at the Nashville 54Film Fest for the short film Dance. In 2025, he starred in and composed the music for Echo TV's Seventy x Seven, which won Best Short Film at the International Christian Film Festival (ICFF). He also co-stars in the upcoming film Miracle on Shelby Street and recently starred in the acclaimed stage play Lost & Found (2025). Lamont composed the score for the 2025 feature film The Zuri Johnson Story. He continues to make an impact across music, film, and theater.
