Biography

Was offered a record deal at 16 years old with Britney Spears's label, Jive Records, but turned it down because they wanted her to sing pop and R&B, whereas she wanted to sing rock music. Two years later, she got a contract with Island Def Jam Records and was able to be herself.

Has said if she has it her way the three bands she would most love to tour with are, The Donnas, Green Day, and My Chemical Romance.

Was suppose to perform with JC Chasez for the half time show at NFL Pro Bowl game in Hawaii. But both performers's shows were cancelled, due to the Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake controversey that happened at the Super Bowl (February 2004).

On her second album "Sunday Love", Fefe hooked up with the likes of Matthew Wilder (producer of No Doubt's "Tragic Kingdom"), Billy Steinberg and Dallas Austin. She also got together with ex-Marilyn Manson guitarist John5, Cyndi Lauper, ex-Veruca Salt singer Nina Gordon, Rancid's Tim Armstrong, ex-Letters to Cleo singer Kaye Han, Joan Jett, and even Courtney Love, herself, during the early songwriting stages.

Since leaving Island Records in June 2006, Fefe has moved away from her album "Sunday Love" due to the fact that her former label owns the rights to the album. Fefe is now recording an entirely new album in her hometown of Toronto with the help of her Candian label Universial Music Canada. She is in talks with an American label to release her new album to the rest of North America and the world.

"I get my clothes in vintage stores! I love puma jackets, and I love my converse shoes. I love Levis, and diesel jeans! I don't shop at Roots Canada!" (On where she shops).

"My old life is still my new life cause I'm still the same gal!" (On her new life as a rock star).

The things that drive me are poverty, and pain, and knowing that I don't want to end up being alone and I want to do something with my life and I want the name Dobson to remain in everyone's heads. Basically, just to rock and be the best performer I can be, and be true, and be real, and give people the real Fefe, nothing fake, all real.

It's like I've experienced quite a weird and unusual life, you know, being with a mom who's a single parent and struggling with money and things like that. It's really hard. And it brings a lot of other insecurities in life and a lot of other issues in life, in school and a bunch of other things."
