Biography

Vikram Kumar is an artist, a closet painter and photographer. While working in Mumbai film industry as assistant director, he learnt to write film scripts by watching films from around the world. This resulted in a strong alienation from mainstream films. He realized that though he spent many years in Mumbai and later in Delhi, He never felt a sense of belonging there. His heart sought after much affinity and familiarity with people and places, where he could delve deeper while dealing with the characters; and places he really enjoys to explore.

For his short documentary 'The Mountain Weavers' he came in contact with the Himalayas for the first time. His several trips to Uttarkashi worked as transit from where he returned back to his hometown Ranchi, with an epiphany. In the year 2017 he wrote 'Celestina & Lawrence'. The successive years proved to be tough for him personally and professionally and then Corona almost stopped the world for two more years. His close friends came to his support and in 2022 and finally he started shooting the film with local cast and crew. Now he is ready to showcase his debut film in several film festivals.
