Anne Koolen

Anne Koolen is a writer/director from the Netherlands, specialised in virtual production. She strives to tell stories with high emotional stakes and societal impact. Her proof of concept short film, "Out of the smoke", is a fantasy film about a shape shifting dragon, shot on the LED volume at USC and screened at American Pavillion's NextGen Showcase at Cannes film festival and LA Shorts International Film Festival. She has also just finished the first draft of the feature screenplay for this story, which got into Cordillera International Film Festival's PitchFest!
