Phillip Montgomery

Phillip Montgomery is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. His directing work spans award-winning films, television, and commercials for brands like Jack Daniel's, Guinness, Walmart, GE, and IBM. In 2019, he was awarded the Cannes Lions Silver, Bronze, and Jury Prize for his immersive commercial campaign for the 60th Anniversary Grammy Awards. He most recently directed the Kevin Costner Mini-Series "The West" (History Channel) and "Sitting Bull", executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. He earned Cannes Silver and Bronze Lions for his Grammy Awards campaign, and his short film "Child of the Sky" premiered at the New York Film Festival. Phillip's earlier work includes the feature doc #ReGENERATION narrated by Ryan Gosling, which won the Youth Jury Award at SIFF, and his short film "Today" exploring LA's Water Crisis was honored with a Special Jury Prize. He was named to SHOOT Magazine's New Directors Showcase and received the Cannes New Director Award for his work with the 2012 Olympics for P&G.
