Biography

Ashley Bell

Mini bio

  • Ashley Bell is a Georgia-based attorney and political adviser who served as an executive producer on "Take No Prisoners" and "The Bay."

Ashley, a corporate finance attorney, is also the founder and CEO of Ready Life, the fintech startup creating a new path to home ownership without credit scores, and a frequent collaborator with Dr. Bernice A. King, CEO of the King Center and the youngest child of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King.

The pair's production company, Ready Entertainment, inked a seven-figure deal with P3 Media in April 2023, and fewer than four months later, Ashley announced a formal partnership with Earn Your Leisure, the revolutionary media platform created to boost financial literacy in the Black community.

He's also served as CEO and board chair of Redemption Holding Co., the Black-led investment group negotiating an acquisition expected to create - pending regulatory approval - the only Black-owned bank between Houston and Los Angeles. Ashley's legal expertise spans public policy, business and banking, and he is the former White House policy advisor for entrepreneurship and innovation in the Office of American Innovation.

In 2018, he was tapped to lead the U.S. Small Business Administration's Southeast Region. Ashley also co-founded the National Black Bank Foundation alongside King, and serves as founder and executive director of the 20/20 Bipartisan Justice Center, which is dedicated to criminal justice reform.
