Carmen Molina is a Catalan cinematographer and filmmaker whose work spans documentary, fiction, and experimental formats. Her work as DOP on "Until He's Back" was shortlisted for the 97th Academy Awards®, nominated for an IDA Award, won at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and the Hamptons International Film Festival, and was selected at numerous international festivals including Krakow and Tampere.
With "Latència", her directorial debut, she established a distinctive voice, winning awards at VOC Awards, Brain Film Fest, and Dones Visuals. As DOP she collaborated on "Corren las Liebres" by Lorena Ros, which won the Audience Award and the Premi 3Cat at Docs Barcelona. In 2023 she expanded her practice into live performance, joining the international tour of Bad Gyal as part of the core camera crew, shaping on-stage visuals.
Her cinematography has been commissioned by institutions such as National Geographic, Open Society Foundations, and Forbes. Her training includes the Master's in Cinematography from ESCAC and the Master's in Creative Documentary from UPF Barcelona.
