- Kurtis Bueltmann is a multifaceted actor whose talents extend far beyond the screen. An accomplished musician, Kurtis boasts proficiency in vocals, percussion, guitar (acoustic, electric, bass), keys, and viola. His musical journey includes opening for Lost and Found, playing with Bob Mattice and the Rainmakers, and co-founding Sibling Harmony. With this group, he has toured nationally, performed for audiences of 5,000, and produced four albums and numerous music videos.
Beyond music, Kurtis has a rich background in education and leadership. He spent three years teaching high school math in St. Louis and 12 years as CEO of Camp LuWiSoMo in Wild Rose, Wisconsin, the same town where Harrison Ford earned his pilot's license. His commitment to service is evident through his roles as a firefighter across four states, a Lutheran minister in three states, a martial arts school founder in Rockford, Illinois, and as an organizer of European and Middle Eastern tours. In his military career as an active duty officer in the USAF, Kurtis received multiple accolades, including MAJCOM individual and USAF-wide team awards.
His acting career began in Athens, marked by diverse roles in stage productions like "Bye Bye Birdie," "You Can't Take It With You," "Hello Dolly," and "Ducktails & Bobbysox" (1990), where Kurtis secured the lead role of Curtis Jackson. His musical talent shone through with guitar in "Godspell" (1996) and percussion in "Annie" (2005), and his sword choreography skills were showcased in "The Hobbit" (2009).
His television appearances include "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Episode #14.35 (2006) and "Good Morning America" Episode #48.3 (2022). He played the lead role of Joe in the short film Muscatatuck Mission (2024), written and produced by Adrian Paul.
