- Olga Feldekova was born on March 28, 1943 in Martin, Slovenský stát [now Slovakia]. She was a writer, known for Sagarmatha (1988), Zaciatok sezóny (1988) and Ukradnuty biely slon (1988). She was married to Lubomír Feldek. She died on December 6, 2025 in Bratislava, Slovakia.

- After graduating from high school in Trstená (1960), she continued her university studies, while in the meantime (1960-1961) she worked as a worker at Tesla Orava in Nizná nad Oravou.
- She worked as an editor of Nový slova mladých (New Word of the Young) (1978-1982), compiling two anthologies of young Slovak prose from contributions by talented authors (Na veceru budu ctvorlístky, Doska na kolesách).
- Grew up in Upper Orava, in Tvrdosín.
- After graduating from the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in 1967, she worked as a freelancer (she gave birth to and raised five children in the meantime).
- Following the Dissolution of Czechoslovakia, they moved to a self-imposed exile in Prague for several years to escape violent threats by nationalists due to a poem by her husband criticizing the minister of culture Dusan Slobodnik. Together with her husband Lubomír Feldek, they formed a prominent duo on the Slovak literary scene.
