The Playmaker (2005), written, produced, directed, starred and scored by himself, was honored at both the Cannes Film Festival and the Italian Film Academy among the best short films of the year whilst developing its feature length subject on behalf of Twentieth Century Fox, who optioned the script a year earlier and with whom 1.One Way Films signed a production deal. The story focused on an unknown masterly hitman whom both Interpol and the Russian military had unsuccessfully chased all over Europe for years but suddenly tracked in the Russia's Capital of culture.
