Biography

Colbie Tomei is an American actor based outside Philadelphia. She started her professional acting career at age 10 when she landed a commercial for Facebook Messenger Kids (Tru Films). From the moment she stepped on set, she was hooked and hasn't stopped since. She's worked on several films, television shows and commercials but is best known for her portrayal of the haunting title role in the psychological thriller short film Evelyn (Four Olives Productions), for which she won Best Young Actor at the FirstGlance Film Festival in Philadelphia and was nominated for Best Actress at the Triborough Film Festival in New York. The short film won Best Suspense Thriller at the Jersey Shore Film Festival and has received numerous festival nominations including Best Ensemble Cast and Best Horror/Thriller.

Colbie’s TV credits include series regular Roz, the fun, friendly fashionista in "Good Neighbor Club", a civics-focused PBS kids TV show supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She also guest starred as Gabe on the Regional Emmy Award winning PBS kids TV show Albie's Elevator (2023) (Big Howl Productions). The show was later acquired by HITN-TV, the leading Spanish-language media company, expanding viewership into Latin America, Brazil and the U.S. Hispanic market.

In her upcoming project, Colbie will star alongside Eric Roberts and Alexandra Faye Sadeghian in the feature film, Ruthless, from Hollywood Director Joshua Coates (20/20 Visions Entertainment) and best-selling author Carmelo I. Rodriguez Jr.

Colbie's "happy place" is on set or on stage, but when she's not acting, you can find Colbie singing and dancing, cooking for loved ones, camping with her Girl Scout troop, hitting balls at the driving range, attending as many live performances as she can, or snapping selfies with friends.

Colbie believes every performer deserves a safe, inclusive space to shine. She is a passionate volunteer with Acting Without Boundaries (a theatre company for actors with disabilities), and also works as an assistant teacher, assistant director and camp counselor for various local youth theatre programs, where she enjoys helping kids find their voice on and off stage.
