Oliver Svendsen is a British actor born and raised in the Welsh seaside town of Tenby (Dynbych-y-Pysgod), a place renowned for its natural beauty and rich history. The town-whose Welsh name translates to "little fortress of the fish"-has been home to notable figures including Robert Recorde, the physician and mathematician credited with inventing the equals sign, and King Henry VII, who is said to have escaped to France via secret tunnels beneath the town. Oliver recently starred in Near & Distant Things, portraying Richard, a man striving to support his younger brother as he navigates depression, following the loss of his wife and a distant relationship with his daughter. The film explores themes of passion, connection, and frustration, offering a nuanced portrayal of deep and complex relationships that reflect the emotional realities of contemporary life. He also starred in Gagged, a short dark comedy that has achieved international recognition on the festival circuit. Alongside his acting career, Oliver is university educated, having studied Sports Science and Rugby at the University of South Wales.
