Aleksei is a Chicago based actor and filmmaker whose work is deeply shaped by a lifelong passion for both performance and the visual language of cinema. Adopted from Russia at just one and a half years old and raised in the United States, Aleksei brings a unique cultural perspective and emotional depth to his work.
Having been inspired by both the legends of the silver screen as well as the history of film as a whole, he's grown to always find a balance between comedy and drama. Whether it be artists like Charlie Chaplin, The Coen Brothers, or Robin Williams, he's always challenged himself to imbue a sense of humanity and complexity into every one of his projects he is a part of.
Whether performing onstage, behind the camera, or developing character driven stories, Aleksei’s work has always been defined by his innate curiosity about people and the relationships that shape them.
