  • Phil Edgar-Jones is a British television executive and producer known for his work in entertainment, documentary, and arts broadcasting. He serves as Executive Director of Unscripted at Sky, overseeing documentary, entertainment, and arts programming, after previously leading the network's entertainment division and serving for a decade as Director of Sky Arts. During his tenure, he commissioned a wide range of productions spanning music, visual arts, opera, comedy, and popular culture, while playing a key role in making Sky Arts free-to-air in 2020 in an effort to broaden public access to the arts. He also helped establish the educational initiative Access All Arts Week, reaching hundreds of thousands of primary school students across the UK. Earlier in his career, Edgar-Jones was Creative Director of Big Brother (2000) at Endemol UK, where he oversaw the series during its Channel 4 era and executive produced programs including Space Cadets (2005), Shattered (2004), The Salon (2003), and Celebrity Scissorhands (2006). He later worked as Creative Director at Running Bare Pictures and John Noel Management, executive producing comedy series such as Very Important People (2012) and The Mimic (2013). Beyond broadcasting, Edgar-Jones has served on the boards of the National Film and Television School and the English National Opera, and became Chairman of the London Coliseum Board of Directors. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his contributions to broadcasting and the arts.
