- Usha Joshi was born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. She is known for Premika (1980), Special Branch (1969) and The Expert (1968).
- Lived and worked in London for 13 years before going back to India as a journalist and then returning to acting. She has two daughters and a son. The British-born actress Naomi Scott has a mother called Usha Joshi, but this is not her, as her mother was from Uganda. The Indian actress Manasi Joshi Roy also has a mother called Usha Joshi, so it is possible this is her.
