Son of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm1562725/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Gil Garcetti</a>, former District Attorney of Los Angeles County (1992-2000).

Elected the 42nd mayor of the City of Los Angeles in 2013.
