Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chimechi Oparanozie's journey to becoming an actor is defined by resilience and a passion for the craft. Starting as a standout multi-sport athlete at Santa Monica College, excelling in football and track & field, Chimechi earned the prestigious Student Athlete of the Year award in his final season. However, his ambitions extended beyond the field, as he had long nurtured a dream of acting, inspired by watching shows like Law & Order SVU during his childhood.

Moving to Los Angeles, Chimechi faced a range of personal and professional challenges. Chimechi Oparanozie's first ever audition was for "Unstoppable" where he landed principal role portraying "Brian Corwin" along side star studded cast, including Jennifer Lopez, Jharrel Jerome, Don Cheadle, & Michael Peña.

Chimechi was a 3 sport athlete in high school, participating in Football, Wrestling, & track & field. Chimechi attended The Linsly school in Wheeling West Virginia. He graduated in 2015, then headed west to attend Santa Monica College where he earned the "Student Athlete of the year" award for the 2017-2018 season.

"Chimechi" means - "Only God knows the future" in the Igbo language.
