Diane Kaufman MD
Best Original Song at the Venice Under The Stars Film Festival amongst many other awards. "Holding The Heart When It Breaks" began as a poem written by Dr. Kaufman the day after the death - most likely by suicide - of Sinead O'Connor, and also learning of the suicide of Sinead's 17 year old son Shane in January 2022. The poem became lyric to an internationally award-winning song thanks to the talents of singer song-writer Annabel Hodges, mix/master/producer James Manno, and animator/videographer Lucia Martinez Rojas. The song has a trigger warning given the content's powerful questioning on suicide and its aftermath. The song is part of the Hold On Campaign for Suicide Prevention which uses art to connect, express, and heal.
