David Coggeshall was born in New York City, New York, USA. He is a writer and producer, known for The Family Plan (2023), Orphan: First Kill (2022) and The Deliverance (2024). He has been married to Lori Evans Taylor since June 9, 2007.

In the film The Rundown (2003), there's a character named Jimmy Coggeshall. That film was written by David's longtime friend James Vanderbilt, who named the character after him.
