- French soccer player. He started his career in Auxerre (France) in 1999 then left France for Liverpool (England) in 2004. Highest individual scorer of French Championship in 2002 and 2004, he won the French cup with Auxerre in 2003 and the Confederation Cup with the National French team in 2003.
- After purchasing the 'Manor of Frodsham' home in Cheshire, Cisse inherited a title along with the £2 million mansion. He is now referred to as 'Lord Djibril Cisse of Frodsham'.
- During his first season for Liverpool FC, he suffered a terrible injury playing against Blackburn Rovers. His shin was broken in 2 places, which kept him out for most of the rest of that season. It was once feared that he'd never play football again, however he made a remarkable comeback to play in Liverpool's last game.
- Played for France in the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
