Kevin A. Morrison

Kevin A. Morrison is a screenwriter, director, producer, actor, and scholar whose work bridges independent cinema, serialized storytelling, and literary culture. Initially trained for the stage at Mid-Pacific School of the Arts, one of the Pacific Rim’s leading conservatory arts schools, he later earned a PhD in English literature and built an international academic career with professorships and leadership appointments in the United States, Singapore, and China. Alongside publishing more than twenty books on nineteenth-century literature, media, and narrative culture, he has increasingly focused on filmmaking as a creative extension of his long-standing interest in story, atmosphere, and human psychology.

Morrison wrote and directed the feature film Hucksters, starring Shelley Holt ("Pulse"), Brendan Healy ("Chicago P.D."), Audrey Morrison ("The Curse"), Naomi Grossman ("American Horror Story"), Melissa Chambers ("Dark Winds"), Brendan Fehr ("Roswell"), and J.D. Garfield ("Breaking Bad"). The film is currently in post-production.

He also co-founded Morrison Film Company LLC with Audrey Morrison, focusing on the development and production of independent theatrical films. In addition, he co-wrote, co-produced, and appears in the award-winning short film Normal Rockwell.

His creative influences range from Victorian fiction and classic horror to contemporary cinema and long-form franchise storytelling. Across his work as a writer and director, Morrison is drawn to morally complex characters, emotional tension, and the ways stories shape social and imaginative worlds.
