Jared Perez is a Los Angeles based actor and recent graduate from CalArts with a BFA in Acting. He has appeared in productions at Walt Disney Modular Theater (Danton’s Death), Roy O. Disney Hall (Here Be Sirens), and Theatre Movement Bazaar’s The Overcoat. Some of his film credits include Bigote or (The Happy Anarchy of Bureaucracy) which just had its LA premiere at DWF Festival at TCL Chinese Theater. He also directed and acted in an independent short film he developed. Jared taught his real life mom how to act... to play his real life mom in the film! Spoiler alert... she's a natural.
Growing up as a first generation Mexican-American kid in LA, Jared was surrounded by lots of people like him. The same never really translated to movies he would watch. Now in an evolving industry, new stories are being told as he takes part in the next generation of artists and voices.
