- Mayko Nguyen was born on April 19, 1980 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is an actress and producer, known for ReGenesis (2004), Going the Distance (2004) and Anon (2018).
- Surname pronounced "Win" (as in the traditional way).
- For several episodes in the latter part of Season 2, Nguyen's character, Dr. Sarah Truong, is seen sitting at desks or standing at lab tables, or in from-shoulders-up close-ups. In the field, another forensics tech covers for her. But in the final episode of that season, In a Family Way (2020), we see her full-figure again when Sarah Truong goes undercover to a natal clinic, supposedly wearing a fake belly to look pregnant. But Nguyen was pregnant in real life, and the scene was written to use her real pregnancy as part of the storyline.
- Has worked with both of the Ashmore brothers. She starred with Shawn Ashmore in Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures (2010) TV miniseries, and with Aaron Ashmore in Killjoys (2015) TV series. Aaron Ashmore also guest starred in an episode of Hudson & Rex (2019), a series in which she co-stars.
