Biography

Miriam is a multi-award winning actor and writer. Her extensive TV acting credits include: Utopia seasons 3 & 4 (ABC), Fires (ABC) and Why Are You Like This (Netflix/ABC). In 2022 she wrote and starred in the multi award-winning short film Assets which screened at CinefestOZ, Flickerfest, the Peninsula Film Festival and the Australian Women's Film Festival, where she won awards including Best Actor, Best Screenplay and One to Watch. The scripts she co-created and wrote for the Screen Australia and Vicscreen funded web series, Buried, were shortlisted for the 2023 Monte Miller Award and went on to win the 2025 AWGIE Award for Best Web Series at the Australian Writers Guild. Buried, which she also starred in, won the 2025 AACTA Award for Best Online Comedy or Drama as well as the C21 International Drama Award for Best Newform Series at Content London, and has won numerous other awards including Best Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Series at major film and web festivals around the world.
