Brent Fannin

Although he was born in Indiana, Brent spent most of his childhood in South Dakota. Growing up there, he spent countless hours exploring the state and national parks with his friends and family. He headed back to Indiana for college and graduated from Taylor University with a B.A. in Media Communication with a film studies emphasis from the Los Angeles Film Studies Center. After graduating in 2010, he chose not to join the film industry, but to shift his focus to environmental education and animal training. He spent nearly 10 years in Florida working at various theme parks and zoological facilities, and exploring the state, while slowly falling more and more in love with wildlife and conservation. In 2020, just as the global pandemic began, he met and began dating his future wife, Jordan. They worked together at a veterinary clinic in Gainesville, Florida. In 2021, Brent won a film grant from an environmental non-profit named Project Paradise, and directed The Water State. This film focused on water conservation and the Florida Springs. It reignited his passion for filmmaking and after finishing the piece, he began work on his next project, Gopher Games. In 2022, he moved with Jordan to Atlanta, where they were married. He continues to further his environmental mission by telling stories through documentary films.
