  • A Sports Handicapper with undeniable credentials and unparalleled endorsements. Frank's life reads like a highlight film. Recognized as an expert on casinos and sports gambling, Frank Rosenthal has appeared on Dateline (NBC), Nightline (ABC), Frontline (PBS), and A&E. For much of his professional life, the Chicago-born and casino-bred, Rosenthal has been the country's top handicapper. He was one of a handful of men who literally set the line for thousands of bookmakers from coast to coast.
  • In The 1970s, whilst unable to obtain a gaming license, he starred in a talk show promoting the Stardust Casino. The show was called "The Frank Rosenthal Show" and was originally hosted in a television studio but was moved to the Stardust casino later on. His first guest on the Stardust version of the show was Frank Sinatra (in his first ever talk show appearance.
  • He is famous for being the man who had brought race & sports book-betting to Vegas - an achievement that made him a true visionary in Nevada history. Despite resistance from the traditional casino bosses, who believed exclusively in terms of table games, Rosenthal had spent decades in and around the sports world to know that it could be the motherlode of casino betting.
  • Nicholas Pileggi, celebrated author and Hollywood screenwriter of "Wiseguy" and GoodFellas (1990), describes the unique life and times of Rosenthal in his book "Casino". Martin Scorsese directed the film version of Casino (1995).
  • His daughter Stephanie was a superb swimmer and he made an attempt to enter her into the 1984 Olympic games (at the age of 11) but was unsuccessful. No further attempts were made.
