Biography

Paul Nurse was born on January 25, 1949 in Norwich, England, UK. He is a writer, known for The Richard Dimbleby Lecture (1972), Science Britannica (2013) and Horizon (1964).

Joint Director General of Cancer Research UK and winner, with fellow Britain Tim Hunt and American Leland Hartwell, of the 2001 Nobel Medicine Prize

He was awarded the Knight Bachelor of the Order of the British Empire being awarded the CH (Member of the Order of the Companion of Honour) in the 2022 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to Science and Medicine in the United Kingdom and Abroad. He is based in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.
