Biography

Matthew Dylan is an American writer, director, and actor from Malakoff, Texas. He recently graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California with a B.A. in Theatre and Screen Arts. As a writer/director Matthew has the masterful ability to blend different genres in his storytelling that speaks to the lived experiences of everyday people. He is truly interested in the lives of others and giving voice to those without voice or agency. The characters he envisions, often deeply complex survivors of embodied trauma, are thoroughly realized in the worlds he creates. As an actor he loves to be challenged and mold into a directors vision - truly bringing himself to the forefront of the work. His time growing up in a small town in Texas is influenced and shown in all of his work.
