-Mélisande Gélinas-Fauteux and Alexandre de Grosbois-Garand met in 2007 after respective careers full of twists and turns. Sometimes in trad bands, sometimes in rock bands, they have both played on numerous stages here and abroad. When they met, it was not only love at first sight, but also the birth of their musical alliance. Together, they fuse traditional Québécois chanson with electro music, a move that sets them apart right from the release of their debut album, Les métamorphoses, in 2014. The band hit the road, then produced a second album (Les millésimes), then a third (Les myriades) again to critical acclaim.
Their work is rewarded with a Canadian Folk Music Award, two Independent Music Awards and several nominations (ADISQ, GAMIQ, CFMA, IMA). The duo has performed over 250 shows around the world, and in the fall of 2021 will release a fourth album focusing on songs of yesterday and today, a reminder of the extent to which traditional music has shaped contemporary music.
