Biography

Michael is a ten-time Emmy® Award winning freelance DGA director and senior field producer for Entertainment Tonight. He field produced coverage of two royal weddings, a queen's funeral, and a king's coronation. If a project is complicated, loaded with challenges both technical and creative, he's the person you call. Michael directed and produced a seven camera shoot with Katy Perry on the roof of Capitol Records, with a helicopter and a crane. He traveled to Kenya to field direct segments documenting famine and Rwanda to field produce stories around the opening of a fresh water pipeline in the aftermath of a brutal civil war. Michael has traveled to movie sets from Hong Kong to Rio to interview A-list actors and shoot exciting behind-the-scenes footage of Hollywood's biggest blockbuster films. He's directed at-home interviews with Oscar® winning actors and legends, and gone on the road with music's biggest stars.

Michael is also a member of the Motion Pictures Editors Guild (MPEG), working as freelance editor, he has edited 18 camera large-scale 4K concerts for Sheryl Crow and Foreigner. Michael has been an editor for Entertainment Tonight, and he also hosts and produces the YouTube show Director's Garage.
