Biography

Emily Qiu is a Los Angeles-based director working across many different formats including vertical series, short films, reality TV and commercials. With a background in architecture and an MFA in Directing from Chapman University, her work explores subtle human emotions and complex relationships, often blending realism with speculative elements. Her works have screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals including HollyShorts, LA Shorts, New Filmmaker LA and the Rhode Island International Film Festival. She is currently directing multiple vertical series while developing long-form projects.
