Biography

Luiz Felipe Scolari was born on November 9, 1948 in Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He is an actor, known for Nike: Olé! (2004), TV Globo: Futebol (1991) and Match of the Day (1964). He is married to Olga. They have two children.

Champion as the coach of Brazil in the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

Runner-up of the 2004 UEFA European Championship as Manager of Portugal

Father, with Olga, of two boys named Leonardo and Fabrício.

He was the coach who led Palmeiras to their first Copa Libertadores title in 1999. The team defeated Deportivo Cali 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 aggregate score across two legs (in the first leg Deportivo Cali won 1-0 in Cali, Colombia and in the second leg Palmeiras won 2-1 in São Paulo, Brazil).
